Kyiv ROSHEN Factory is the oldest among the other factories of the Corporation. Its products are recognizable worldwide.

Historical Background

1886

The merchant Valentin Yefimov established Kyiv confectionery factory.

1930

The production volume reached 700 tons per year, and the factory moved to a sugar factory, where it houses till now.

1940

The production volume raised up to 32 800 tons per year.

1944

Reconstruction on the Dnipro Food Industry’s project, which increased the annual production volume up to 30 000 tons.

1959-1965

Continuation of the reconstruction of production and mechanization of labor-intensive processes: 24 flow-mechanized lines and 230 manufacturing equipment items were purchased and installed, and the gasification of the factory was conducted.

1965

The production volume raised up to 35 200 tons and product assortment - up to 210 names.

1987

The total amount of the confectionery products was 52 300 tons per year, 52.2% of which were delivered to Kyiv.

90-ies

The implementation of investment programs which allowed not only to save the factory, but also to raise its level to a new stage of development. There were also purchased and installed the lines of leading Western manufacturers (Switzerland, Germany, Italy).

1998-2012

A number of products produced by the factory grew almost 5 times.

Nowadays

Today there are about 800 employees at ROSHEN Kyiv Confectionery Factory, and its productivity can reach 100 tons of production per day. The factory contains high-quality equipment of both foreign and domestic manufacturers.

Production is focused on making cakes, biscuits, pastries, jelly, candy, marshmallows, cookies, crackers and boxes of chocolate sweets "Kyiv Vechirniy". A cake line produced by the factory is not limited by well known cakes "Kyiv" and "Prague", but also includes the latest creations - "Napoleon Rochen", "Honey Cake Ropshen" and others.

Kyiv ROSHEN Confectionery Factory is certified according to international standards ISO 9001: 2008 and food safety standard ISO 22000: 2005.

Products manufactured by the factory are unique in taste and have original quality packages. The cake "Kyivskyi" and candies "Kyiv Vechirniy" have become a calling card of not only ROSHEN Kyiv confectionery factory, but of the whole city. This is exactly what the visitors of the Ukrainian capital take with them and what Kyiv residents buy for a present. Klaipeda Confectionery Factory

The factory in Lithuania was included in the ROSHEN Corporation in 2006 and specializes in the production of the caramel products.
