Swiss Consumers Highly Evaluated Ukrainian Chocolate – ROSHEN Chocolate

ROSHEN became the first Ukrainian confectionery company which
presented its products at the “homeland” of chocolate – in Switzerland. ROSHEN company
participated at the largest exhibition Salon du Chocolat, famous not only with a
chocolate tasting and pastry workshops, but also with a spectacular show – a fashion show
of “chocolate” dresses.
On April 4-6, one of the world most popular chocolate exhibitions – Salon du Chocolat -
was held in Zurich. This exhibition has been held annually for the last 20 years, in
Zurich it took place for the third time in a row. Being a worldwide event and veritable
international label, Salon du Chocolat gathers chocolate lovers from all over the world.
It delights visitors with spectacular chocolate shows, demonstrations of chocolate
recipes, pastry workshops, workshops for children and Chocolate fashion show. Dresses are
created by a couturier-chocolatier dyad, the key objective is to create a dress 50%
consisting of real chocolate.
This year round 50 confectionery companies from Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany and
other countries participated at Salon du Chocolat in Zurich. The number of visitors
reached 16 thousand.
For the first time in the history of Salon du Chocolat Ukrainian confectionery producer –
ROSHEN – presented its chocolate. At Salon du Chocolat Swiss chocolate lovers as well as
Swiss chocolate experts evaluated taste quality of Ukrainian
“The First Salon was held 20 years ago, in France, our
objective was to tell people about chocolate, - comments Francois Jeantet,
founder and producer of Salon du Chocolat. – Later we began to hold Salons at different cities around the world.
This year the most prominent event for us is that Ukrainian chocolate producer
participates for the first time in Salon’s history”.
ROSHEN Corporation presented 20 kinds of its chocolate in such categories as milk and
dark chocolate, Bitter chocolate, Fine selection of ROSHEN Origin Chocolate, BRUT dark
chocolate. Every visitor was offered to taste chocolate and evaluate it at ROSHEN test
zone by filling in the questionnaire. For the three days over 2000 people has tasted

chocolate, - shares his impression confectioner Rolf Murner, the Winner of
World Patisserie Championship and Holder of many World Awards, Chef Patisserie at

Classic with 56% cocoa content. It has an exquisite taste. I was positively surprised! I
have never tried such a chocolate, neither in Switzerland, nor in
Oliv from Zurich, the exhibition visitor: “I haven’t associated Ukraine with chocolate. But your product is
perfect – it is moderately sweet and very tender. I like it!”
Why ROSHEN Corporation made a choice in favour of Switzerland? The answer is obvious:
Swiss people are true “chocolate connoisseurs”, as average annual consumption of
chocolate per person exceeds 12 kilos! It is Switzerland, which is considered to be the
trendsetter of chocolate standards and from where the history of chocolate began.
