Vinnitsa confectionery factory is one of five of the largest confectionery enterprises of Ukraine. A factory was founded in 1929 on the base of a brewery of Mr. Vahnevskiy. In production based on hand labour, there are about 60 persons, and a primary assortment of confectionery product line included caramel, cakes, baking and saccharine drop.
Partial mechanization of production processes was realized in 1932. However during time of the Great Patriotic War practically all buildings of factory were destroyed. Reconstruction of the enterprise and increase of production volumes began from 1944.
In 1983 on Vinnitsa confectionery factory 37,3 thousand of tons of confectionery was made. Such high level of production held up to 1991. However crisis phenomena in economy and growing competition from the part of foreign producers resulted in the necessity of considerable financial investments for modernization of equipment and introduction of new technologies.
Vinnitsa confectionery factory is specialized on manufacture of the glazed waffle cakes, porous chocolate bars, candies in boxes.
In 1997 on a factory a line on production of slab chocolate was set. Manufacture of the chocolate "Lux" started on it. And in 1999 Vinnitsa confectionery factory first in Ukraine began production of porous chocolate. In 2001 modern fully automated German line on baking of glazed waffles and waffle cakes was installed, on which from July, 2002 a factory began production of chocolate-waffle sticks "Stuchka" and chocolate-waffle cakes "Chocolate castle". In 2004 on new German-australian lines Vinnitsa factory began production of the jelly candies "Jelli" and "Boni-Fruit", which for a short time conquered love of both little and adult consumers.
Quality system has been developed and introduced at the enterprise.
In 2005 Vinnitsa factory was certificated on the international quality management system ISO 2001:2000. And from March, 2007 Vinnitsa factory was awarded with a certificate of conformity to the requirements of the international standard ISO 22000:2005.
For the present a factory manufactures more than 100 names of confectionery with a general volume about 50 thousand of tons per year. Chocolate candies "Belochka", "Krasnyy mak", "Kara-kum", candies in boxes "Strela Podolskaya", "Ptichi moloko", waffle cakes „Chocolate castle”, jelly-pectin candies „Bonni Fruit” and many other goods are well-known.
In 2007 on Vinnitsa factory a new production building, general area of which makes up 17741 sq.m, height 25,5 m. is put into operation. Production capacity of a new building of Vinnitsa confectionery factory amount to approximately 4,5 thousand tons per month.
Renewed waffles "Artek" and "Napolitanki", waffle rolls "Krispiki" and candies "Grand Toffy” - pride of the masters of a new workshop of Vinnitsa confectionery factory.
Due to a high mastery of Vinnitsa confectioners, products of Vinnitsa confectionery factory are in demand and are well-known outside Ukraine.
