Mariupol confectionary factory was founded in 1910 by a private proprietor Eydinov on the base of workshop on production of caramel, sheeted with sugar. The primary assortment consisted of caramel and cakes.
During 90 years of the development a factory grew into a modern enterprise, equipped with high-performance technological lines, weighing submachine guns and control-gagging devices providing adherence of compounding and high quality of confectionery.
Attestation of a line its goods as products of higher category of quality was an official confession of successes of Mariupol confectionery factory. Up to 1990 almost 70% products of enterprise were marked by a state "Sign of quality".
Confectionary products of the factory are repeatedly represented at the domestic and foreign exhibitions. For example, in 1992 a factory took part in the International exhibition "America - Ukraine - 92" (Las Vegas, the United States of America).
Since 2003 at the factory the Austrian line on production of the refined types of baking, productivity of which amounts to 1800 kg per hour, is operated. The Danish-German line on production of the elite baking with different additions such as nuts, chocolate, raisin is operated since spring 2004. And since spring 2005 - the Danish-Italian line on production of rolls and puff biscuits begun to be specialized on production of biscuits. In 2004-2005 a new German and Austrian lines of production were operated.
In January, 2005 Mariupol confectionary factory obtained the "Certificate of conformity", in accordance with the requirements of the quality management system of the international standard ISO 2001:2000. And since March, 2007 Mariupol factory was awarded with a certificate of conformity to the requirements of the international standard ISO 22000:2005.
The volume of general production of confectionary of factory amounts to approximately 30 thousand of tons per year. The assortment of production includes more than 50 names of sweet products, such as sweet, caramel, baking, waffles, cakes, biscuits and Swiss rolls. Such kinds of production as caramel "Record"; sweets "Roshen Romashka", "Mishka"; baking "Prikrasa", "Klaptiki", "Pannochka", "Tortinka", Chocotime", "Esmeralda"; biscuit mini Swiss rolls, Swiss rolls and cakes with various fillings are especially popular among the buyers.
