Mariupol Confectionery FactoryMariupol Confectionery Factory was founded in 1910 by an entrepreneur Mr. Aidinov on the premises of a former workshop producing sugared caramel. The initial range of Aidinov's factory consisted of caramel and spice cakes. Within 90 years the factory turned into a modern enterprise with efficient technological lines, packaging automatons, as well as controlling and measuring devices that ensure strict compliance with product formulae and high standards of product quality. The success of Mariupol Confectionery Factory was officially recognized when a number of its products received top quality certification. By 1990 almost 70% of the factory's products bore the state Quality Mark. Mariupol Confectionery Factory has repeatedly presented its products at local and international trade fairs. For example, in 1992 the factory took part in the International "America - Ukraine '92" exhibition (Las Vegas, USA). The factory's total production volume is approximately 30,000 tons of confectionery a year. The current range includes over 50 names of confectionery including candies, sugar candies, cookies, waffles and cakes. The most popular are sugar candies and chocolate and waffle candies.
