Klaipeda Confectionery Factory

The Klaipeda confectionery factory one of the oldest confectionery factories in Lithuania, on its basis was founded by JSC "Klaipedos konditeriya". The walls of building remember 1876. The old signboard on the factory was - "Factory of sweets and chocolate". But in this factory many products were produced which had nothing in common with confectionery - lemonade, vinegar, candles and another.

In wartime the factory has been completely destroyed. On July 5th, 1945 first production at factory has been made by hand, it became the beginning of reconstruction. It was sugar candies "Fruit drops".

In 1970 the enterprise has been reconstructed. New lines on manufacture caramels were purchased. It helped to expand assortment caramel and make different caramels: lollipops, puff caramel with chocolate-nut stuffing; caramel with liquor, fruit, chocolate fillers, at the same time new twirling and packing automats are also purchased.

Opportunity of manufacture of the enterprise in day is 25 tons of different caramels and a dragee.

At present the enterprise makes 10 tons of different caramels and a dragee a day. There are about 50 names of caramels and dragee in the list of assortment of products, every year about 20 % of assortment is updated and presented with new taste in new beautiful modern packing.

The joint-stock company "Klaipedos konditeriya" is the member of association "Lithuanian Food retail Industry".

On July 04th, 2003 the international certificate of quality ISO 9001:2000 is appropriated to factory.

The joint-stock company "Klaipedos konditeriya" exports production to Latvia, Estonia, Japan, Sweden, the USA.
